Mechanics on a Mission, combats transportation insecurity in Middle Tennessee by providing free car repair services and free vehicles to single parents Matt 25:40, veterans, and widows 1 Tim 5:3.

They are motivated by their love for Jesus and believe in sharing His love through acts of service and compassion. They rely on the support of donors and volunteers to make the mission possible. Together, we can help ensure that everyone in our community can access the transportation they need to thrive.

LOCATION: ONEONTA, ALABAMA

WHAT: MEN’S DRUG & ALCOHOL REHABILITATION CENTER

The Refuge is an 8-month residential alcohol & drug rehabilitation center for men, with the option to complete Phase II if needed or court ordered. They use a biblical approach to overcoming life’s struggles. Their goal is to prepare each man with a plan to live a successful sober life rooted in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

YOUR IMPACT

    The Refuge is a working program where the men are paid a daily wage to work while in the rehab. The Refuge not only wants to help men get back on track spiritually, but physically as well.

  • ✺

    20% of the men’s earnings are kept back to cover the expenses of housing, power, water, gas, transportation to church and services, etc.

  • ✺

    80% of their earnings go towards paying their fines, renewing their drivers licenses, getting them an apartment, a vehicle, etc.

  • ✺

    A valid driver’s license is a requirement to graduate. The Refuge believes that it is important that the men use their own earned money to accomplish these goals.

  • ✺

    However, life is not always perfect and sometimes the work season is slow leaving the men fewer opportunities to earn money.

  • ✺

    That is where Be Good Bi’Gud steps in. 10% of all sales from ‘The Good Stuff’ collection will go towards helping the men at The Refuge get a chance to get their life back on track.
